TIAA-CREF Investment Management, LLC holds more than 5% of Wienerberger stock

Vienna, June 17, 2011 – Wienerberger AG has received an announcement in accordance with § 91 Par. 1 of the Austrian Stock Exchange Act concerning a change in the number of Wienerberger shares owned by TIAA-CREF Investment Management, LLC based in the USA. As of June 15, 2011, TIAA-CREF reported a holding of 5,899,640 shares or 5.02% of issued share capital in Wienerberger AG through its funds, investment management companies and affiliates.
